Blog Updates and Schedule

Hey guys! Today I decided to make a schedule for the blog. These posts will be posted every week unless some real life obligation takes priority. Here are the things I’m planning:

~ Mystery Monday

In Mystery Monday, I will be posting something random, whether it’s fan fiction, rants, and more. Basically it will just be a random fun post that has something to do with AIO

~ Fan Art Friday

In Fan Art Friday, It’s pretty much self-explanatory. I’ll be posting my AIO fan art! I’m most excited about this one.

In between these, I’ll be posting updates, competitions, and news.

If you guys have any other suggestions, leave a comment!

Posted in Competitions, Extras, Miscellaneous

I have updates on the Blogger Competition and Fan Art Competition. First, There is a limit on votes per month. Only 30. I have to pay if I want more. I don’t see any reason to pay for more votes. If your planning to vote, save it to around September 30. For the Fan Art Competition, I only got 1 entire, so I will extend the deadline to September 14. You can send any Odyssey art you have done. Tell me in the comments if you have any questions!

Blog Q&A

Thanks everyone for the questions! Let’s start.

If you could visit anywhere fictional (besides Odyssey of course) where would you go?

I would have to pick the setting of my favorite book, Warriors.

Which aio podcast is your favorite? (besides your own lol).

The AIO Wiki Podcast

Which oa club exclusive episode is your favorite?

That’s tough… I really don’t know. Maybe A Predicament Of Biblical Proportions, or Thirty Jay’s Hath September. I could go on. I just really haven’t picked a favorite yet.

Where do you see your blog or your blogging endeavors two years from now?

Lee Acim

I see more Podcast Episodes, more reviews, and other than that, I see myself posting like I do now. I assume maybe 40 Followers by 2021.

Why did you start the AIO Insider?

I had major inspiration from AIO Audio News and Welcome to Odyssey. I decided it would be fun to make a blog about Odyssey. I’m glad I did.

Why do you call it the AIO Insider.

I don’t really know why I called it that. I assume I was brainstorming ideas in my mind, and that popped in, and I used it because it was original and fit the theme I wanted my blog to have.

Which AIO character describes you best?

I’d say Buddy Norman. He mirrors my creative mind (although not as creative as his insane imaginations).

When did you first listen to AIO?

Around 2011

What did you imagine your blog would be like now when you started it? We’re your expectations surpassed? Disappointed?

Jay Smouse

I didn’t expect to get this far. I had a few ups and downs, not knowing whether to continue or quit, but all of the support kept me going. My expectations were maybe 10 followers, and I have 25 now. Again, thank you guys so much for your support.

Thank you guys again!

Here is another graph I made on this blog’s stats

Man, just seeing this makes me like, thank you guys so much. All of the support you guys give me is amazing, and I hope to grow this blog even more in the years to come. Thanks so much!

And as a throwback to my old posts,

Peace Out ✌🏻

Odyssey Blogs, and Q & A

Hey guys! So I made a bar graph recently showcasing Odyssey over the years. This took a lot of effort, but here it is.

keep in mind that not everything is 100% accurate. It’s very interesting to see the stats over the years.

Anyways, I also want to do a Q & A on this blog, so, leave any questions you have for me in the comments. It can be like “what is your favorite character”, or “when did you start listening”. I’ll make the post once I have 5 or more questions.

Posted in Cheese

So I was walking to school and met a kid named Morrie. He said to meet him at the park at 2:60. When I came, he threw a football at my face. The next day I went outside to eat cheese, but on the porch sat a cat. He began yowling and doing back flips. I knew what this meant. Trent DeWhite. He and I were eating cheese one day when we met Whit. We went and ate cheese together. When I was walking home, Morrie threw another football at me. I told him to stop, and we were chill after that and ate cheese. “So let me ask you” he said, “Is all of this cheese… good…” When I went home, I ate a carrot with cheese and watched nyan cat with my stuffed bunny.

Interview With Lee Acim

Today I got the privilege to interview Lee Acim, founder of AIO Audio News

How and when did you get into AIO?

My family’s always listened to AIO, and my parents had a few albums and collections from before I was born. I listened casually and as a growing fan up through Album 56, and with the release of Album 57, I became more invested in the new episodes. In 2014, I visited the Focus on the Family Welcome Center and met Diane Ingolia, Jonathan Crowe, Nathan Jones, Jesse Florea, Bob Smithouser, and Nathan Hoobler. Through that connection, my interest was piqued in the current era of Odyssey at the time, and I joined the AIOWiki to learn more about the upcoming episodes. After becoming the AIOWiki’s most active user and most familiar with the system, I created the AIOWiki Podcast in 2017 out of a need for an active AIO fan podcast in the space, as there were none.

What inspired you to make your blog?

When I started the AIOWiki Podcast, I focused on imitating the “SCOOP” editions of the Odyssey ScoopCast, which were Ryan Matlock’s news podcasts about Odyssey. Those editions of the AIOWiki Podcast were too long to produce and came out way too long after the news was relevant. In 2018, I was becoming agitated at the amount of new info that was coming out and at my inability to keep up with it. So I toyed around with the idea of starting an Odyssey news website that used audio clips instead of blog posts for news. That was the creation of AIO Audio News.

What is your favorite Odyssey character?

Tricky; what is my favorite and what describes me best…? I have a hard time picking favorites from the past eras of the show, but currently my favorite is Bridget Perkins. Her development in “Always Home” was remarkable to watch, and I love how complex her character is. She’s very relatable, she’s not over-the-top, and she has clear motivations, but yet her emotions are such that she’s largely unpredictable. I’m highly anticipating her future episodes and how they develop her character. (Also I kinda like her actress Keely Marshall so…)

What is your favorite episode?

“Plan B, Part 2: Collision Course.” As a long-time reviewer of Odyssey episodes, I think about my favorite episode as the one I would rank the highest. Plan B, Part 2 is that episode. It’s the most intense, most action-packed, most plot-driven, and most impactful episode of the show. Granted, some episodes come close for me, like “Checkmate,” “The Time Has Come,” and the other Plan B episodes; but Part 2 beats them all out.

What Odyssey character would you say best describes you?

Buddy Norman, hands down. While a lot of older reviewers don’t like him, I view Buddy as the most relatable character of Era 9 (episodes 801-873). He has an innocence of thought that drives his reasoning, he takes time to test the information he’s given to see if it’s true, and his discernment and moral compass pervade his thinking. That’s the origin of his imaginings. All of his insecurities play out in his head, and the most important times in his life are the ones where he stepped away from his mind and dealt with them. That’s what “Walk Worthy” and “Sir Buddy’s Snowy Day” (his two best episodes) did so well. There were clear buildups of his expectations and emotions in his sequences, and he used his thoughts to hash out the problems he was dealing with. Then, when it was time to make a decision, he did it himself, outside his imagination. I think very analytically, like he does, and find that I act like him a lot of the time

Thanks again for doing this interview!

Poll For New Odyssey Arc

So you might be asking, what are we voting for? Well, the idea was proposed by a faithful follower GabrielMatthew. Me, and many others already agree with this. Here is the idea:

Man, I kind of hope they bring all this up in a future story arc, where Whit’s End has to be shut down. I think that’d be a good storyline for a six parter. Seriously, I think this is Album 75 here.

Basically, I made a post called “Odyssey In A Nutshell”, and in it, I said that Whit’s End has a knack for some “situations” that should make parents concerned. Go to the last post for more context. Anyways, If this gets 100 yes’s, I will be telling that to Nathan himself. Please share this, re-blog, or do anything possible to get this to 100 likes!

Odyssey In A Nutshell

In a small nice town called Odyssey, there are good people, and a place where kids like to go called Whit’s End. Every few years, there is some mind controlling organization trying to take over the world. Whit’s End, a place where hundreds of kids go has a knack for strange things happening, such as kidnapping, kids threatening other kids that if they don’t escape, then no oxygen, Vandalism, Weird mummies in basements that connect to old murders, and more! The kids parents for some reason don’t care about these happenings, and let their kids stay there!
